Anna Maia is a Scottish artist drawn to landscape, light, and the quiet language of paint.

Anna Maia Zaitseva is a Scottish-based painter working primarily in oil on canvas. Her practice centres on landscape — its atmosphere, its stillness, the tension between what is seen and what is felt. Rooted in the physical experience of walking and being in remote places, her paintings layer colour and texture to arrive at something essential rather than literal.

Anna graduated from Leith College of Art in 2026 and has since exhibited across Scotland. Her work is held in private collections in the UK and Europe.

Alongside her painting practice, Anna takes on a small number of commissions each year, working closely with collectors to create pieces that respond to specific places or memories. She is available for studio visits by appointment.
